Hack Your Campus is an entrepreneurial competition in which students can make their mark on GVSU. The competition asks students to submit ideas for improving some aspect of GVSU campus or services as part of a competitive pitching event. Ideas can either improve existing programs or services or propose entirely new ones. The best ideas earn substantial cash prizes! Free to attend!

It's time for our $5K projects to present on how they tested the feasibility, viability and desirability of their startup in just three minutes. At the end of the presentations, the Start Garden team will announce if any of the projects are ready to move on to the $20K tier of investment.
SYNCHRONIC is a set of experiments in collaborative culture that will engage, attract, and retain the people that call Grand Rapids home.
Each experiment will consist of three acts:
I. speaker to address a particular hot topic, relevant to the future of our city
II. creative performance that adds a different perspective of the topic on deck
III. breakout sessions, where participants decide where to take our conversation

"Writing a Business Plan" is designed for individuals who want to increase their chances for self-employment success, this course covers business planning in detail. Specifics of marketing, finance, legal, regulatory issues, operations, information based planning and management are key components of this workshop. The first steps for creating a business plan draft will be included. Live examples of effective business plans are used as course material.

Inside this course, students will learn specific modeling techniques that are great for 3D printing using boolean operations. You'll gain a real understanding of how to keep scale consistent during the entire process from concept to hitting start on a 3d printer. We'll also touch on using calipers to make practical 3d printed items without having to leave Blender 3D.
Learn how to use 3D rendering and animation software quickly and cheaply. You can make games, animated movies, 3d objects, and many other interesting things. Students will make a very simple character model and learn how to use the software.
