What is CEO Club?

CEO has helped launch multiple student-run startups over the past 10 years. Our goal is to provide members with support, opportunities, and accountability to insure the maximum amount of success in their business ventures. We enhance our meetings by bringing industry leaders to speak on relevant topics, and by taking members out into the Grand Rapids community to explore local resources.

Not a business student? No problem! We are open to all undergraduate and graduate students of any major. Our goal is to encourage entrepreneurship regardless of your background. Go to another university? Awesome! We would love to have more members from the various schools within the Grand Rapids community. The more diverse our membership base is, the more creative and collaborative our club can be

What do we do?

Whether you have an idea for a business or not, you'll find value in CEO Club. Learn how to pitch, what's needed legally to start a business, tips on how to market online, and much more! Don’t have an idea for a business yet? That’s okay! CEO Club has a collection of ideas submitted by partner firms in need of student teams to lead them, and we're always sending student teams to compete in business competitions. Check out our Projects Overview page to learn more!

Meetings are held every other week, and focus on giving members the necessary skills to succeed. The content of each meeting varies depending on group input and progress. However, we focus primarily on the Business Model Canvas and how to apply what is taught in the classroom to the real world. Each meeting will center on a dynamic speaker–either from the club’s leadership board, CEO alumni, or a leader from a local Grand Rapids firm–to give a short, relevant lecture. Members will then get a chance to network and discuss the ideas from the lecture with the speaker and fellow club members. The meeting will conclude with progress reports and goal setting. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.

When is CEO Club?

Meetings take place every other Tuesday at 6PM in Room 3001 in the Seidman College of Business. Dinner and drinks are always provided. Fall 2017 meetings:
