I have a Business degree and over 16 years of experience at a senior management level in a large corporation, leading, training and mentoring management teams and individuals.  In addition to my corporate experience, I’ve spent the last 4 years in the world of small business, starting up 2 companies.  I am a Professional Coach, having completed an International Coach Federation accredited training program.

Joe Walker | Business Strategist | Michigan Small Business Development Center

Joe Walker works for the Michigan Small Business Development Center out of the West Michigan office.  He has been working with small businesses in a consulting capacity for four years.  He has experience working with startups in digital marketing, search engine optimization, market research, site selection, accounting, and financial forecasting.  After graduating from MSU in 2010 with a degree in policy, he went on to work for Oakland County’s Economic Development department.  He returned to his hometown of Grand Rapids in 2012 in order to continue working with small businesses while pursuing an MBA degree from GVSU.
